The following pieces I have submitted are a physical representation of my complex personality, and show my enthusiasm and motivation for producing a wide range of work using different mediums.

Response to the title, “Mystery and Imagination” for AS Fine Art. Acrylic on board.

Response to the title, “Sanctuary” for AS Fine Art. Oils on board.

Response to the title, “Preservation” showing how waste materials can be reused. Working with plaster and discarded materials.

Plaster sample towards the previous piece. Plaster, rope and other textural materials with acrylic paints to highlight them.

Independent work using still life as the subjects.

Independent work practising my three dimensional drawing skills. Freehand sketching.

Independent work. Digital sketch of three dimensional model made using Google SketchUp. Example of one of many properties I have designed.

Digital render of previous model.

Digital render of another property experimenting with lighting and reflections.

Matchstick model in preparation for final piece for “Precise Chaos” A2 Textiles.

Example from my extensive photographic collection. Experimentation with water, lighting and angles. Independent work.

Further experimentation - exploring textures – from my collection.

I was so impressed with the graduate exhibition and facilities at the open day I attended earlier in the year. The energy and enthusiasm shown by both tutors and students was so motivating for me. I believe the knowledge I would gain from this programme would enable me to think professionally whilst having the freedom to express my creativity. I have both the technical ability and the creative spark which will help me to succeed. I think I would benefit greatly from the relationships you have established with so many companies in the design field. Ultimately, I would like to have the opportunity to develop the skills to create projects of the same high standard that I saw in the graduate exhibition.
